This spreadsheet was designed so I can keep track of my student's grades as they progressed through quizzes, tests, and homework throughout the school year. While this spreadsheet is hypothetical, it can very easily be used in my future classroom and it will make it easy for me to keep track of all my grades. I could teach my students about my spreadsheet, and have them design one for themselves to keep track of their individual grades. They would then always know their current grade and could always compare their computed grade to the grade I have computer for them at the end of the school year.
Another nice thing about the spreadsheet software is that you can easily add, subtract, multiply, and divide cells very easily by entering a formula. Once you figure out the calculation you a computing out, you can drag the formula across as many cells that would apply. Spreadsheet can be a fun and interesting program for your students as well as teachers.
